Who am I?
👋 Hey, I'm Joachim Eeckhout, I founded Labiotech.eu because I wanted to make it easy for people to learn about the biotech industry in Europe.
In the process of building the business into what it is today, I learned a lot about creating compelling content, distributing it, and building a community of loyal fans. The result: over 150,000 people visit the site every month.
I didn't want all that knowledge to go to waste, so I developed a process to help companies get started with their own content production effort and stick with it in the long term. This is what you get when you buy my services.

How does it work?
I divided the Blueprint into three easy steps, gradually leading to the implementation of your new content strategy.
Stage 1: Discovery
During the discovery, I will dig deep into your business to understand your audience, how you position your brand and what’s your communication strategy. This stage will be used as the foundation for building your content roadmap.
Stage 2: Content roadmap
This stage aims at developing a clear and actionable content plan for the next 12 months, based on your resources and goals. It’s the blueprint you’ll be able to follow in order to grow your audience, and generate more clients from your content.
Stage 3: Implementation
During the last four weeks of the project, I’ll be personally working with you on the content to make sure that you can quickly learn and adjust your strategy if necessary. The implementation will also be tailored to your specific situation and budget, whether you can produce content in-house or prefer to outsource it
When is the right time to start?
The right time is when you’re feeling stuck. Maybe you’ve been struggling to consistently put content out there and are ready to throw in the towel. Or perhaps you don’t have anyone in-house with the expertise to create impactful content. Even if you just need a fresh perspective to spark creativity and unlock new ideas, that’s where I come in. Whenever you’re ready to move past the roadblocks and start building momentum, I’m here to help.
How long does it take?
The project normally takes 8 to 12 weeks to complete. I always dedicate four weeks of implementation at the end of the project, to ensure that you get results.
After that, you can either continue on your own thanks to the roadmap I created for you, or if you need more hands-on help, I can continue to help you with content creation.

Am I the right fit for your company?
I collaborate with various companies, from small startups to large international groups. While my expertise is primarily in the life sciences sector, I am also comfortable assisting companies in other scientific and technological fields.
Do I have a scientific background?
Absolutely! I hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from SupBiotech in Paris. In addition, I worked in both private and academic laboratories, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Here's a glimpse into my academic and professional journey:
- In the biotech startup DaVolterra, I worked on a new therapy against antibiotic resistance.
- As a participant in the iGEM synthetic biology competition in 2012, I was part of the team that received the "Best Model and Best Human Practice" award for our work on Xenopus.
- I worked on Salmonella enterica in the Microbiology department of the University of Montreal in Canada.
While I enjoyed my time in the lab, I decided not to pursue a Ph.D. Instead, I ventured straight into the world of entrepreneurship and started my first company in 2014.
What's my experience in digital marketing?
Running a digital media platform like Labiotech.eu has many similarities to running a digital marketing agency, but with the added benefits of press-related perks.
What has been particularly rewarding about this experience is the opportunity to delve into various marketing skills and strategies to boost the growth of the business. From SEO and lead generation to growth hacking and community management, we have tested many marketing techniques to disseminate our content effectively.
Furthermore, Labiotech.eu has collaborated with advertisers who, much like clients of a marketing agency, sought assistance with their online marketing efforts. Over the course of a decade, I have been involved in the creation and execution of more than 500 campaigns, working with prestigious clients, including six of the top ten CRO/CDMO companies.
Where am I based, and where do I come from?
I am currently based in the Rhine-Ruhr region, in the north-western part of Germany. It's close to big cities such as Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Essen.
While Germany has become my adoptive country, I originally come from France. I grew up in picturesque valleys of the Champagne region. After spending five years in Paris for my studies, I moved to Berlin in 2014 to start my entrepreneurship journey and lived there for nine years.
Even though I've been away for so long, I can't get rid of my French accent 😋
