How can I help?

Life sciences companies often struggle to develop a sustainable content marketing strategy that converts leads to clients.

That's where I come in.

πŸ‘‹ Hey, I'm Joachim Eeckhout

I founded Labiotech.eu because I wanted to make it easy for people to learn about the biotech industry in Europe.

In the process of building the business to what it is today, I learned a lot about creating compelling content, distributing it, and building a community of loyal fans.

The result: 200,000 people visit the site every month.

I didn't want all that knowledge to go to waste, so I decided to offer to work with companies that needed outside help with their content marketing.

But I'm not just a one-man show.

I have a brilliant team of writers, designers, and editors who are ready to put their skills to work for you.

Together, we'll craft a powerful message that resonates with your audience and amplifies your brand's impact.

Why should you work with me?

Let's break down the choices you have when starting a content marketing strategy:

  1. Hire a full-time content marketing manager: Sure, it sounds like a straightforward solution. But at an annual cost of somewhere in the region of $100,000, not including content production costs (you can double that), the investment is sure to make a dent in your budget.
  2. Hire a freelance writer: An attractive, budget-friendly choice at first glance. But crafting words is just one piece of the puzzle. Who will strategize, manage the editing process, and make sure your content hits the mark? A writer's expertise, while valuable, only covers half the ground.
  3. Hire a big agency: Their name recognition and vast resources may be tempting. But with their large client base, personalized attention becomes scarce. Your unique needs risk being sidelined for a one-size-fits-all strategy, leading to boring content that fails to make an impact.

Here's a better option:

Work with a human-sized outside team led by an expert (that's me).

I'm not some faceless agency that treats you like just another number.

You'll work directly with me, a real person who's passionate about creating online content.

And because I manage my own team, you don't have to worry about finding freelancers or managing the creative process.

I do it for you, so you can focus on what matters the most to your business.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Still not convinced? Let's answer some burning questions:

Am I the right fit for your company?

I collaborate with various companies, from small startups to large international groups.

While my expertise is primarily in the life sciences sector, I am also comfortable assisting companies in other scientific and technological fields.

What's important for me is to work with companies who are looking for a long-term relationship and recurring help with their content marketing.

If you understand the importance of digital marketing for your business's growth, recognize the power of exceptional content, and value working with a dedicated team that prioritizes your success, then I'm the perfect match.

Do I have a scientific background?

Absolutely!

I hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from SupBiotech in Paris.

In addition, I worked in both private and academic laboratories, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Here's a glimpse into my academic and professional journey:

  • In the biotech startup DaVolterra, I worked on a new therapy against antibiotic resistance.
  • As a participant in the iGEM synthetic biology competition in 2012, I was part of the team that received the "Best Model and Best Human Practice" award for our work on Xenopus.
  • I worked on Salmonella enterica in the Microbiology department of the University of Montreal in Canada.

While I enjoyed my time in the lab, I decided not to pursue a Ph.D.

Instead, I ventured straight into the world of entrepreneurship and started my business in 2014.

Part of my job is to stay updated with the latest breakthroughs, emerging technologies, and industry developments.

With my scientific background and ongoing engagement with the biotech community, you can be confident that my expertise is grounded in a deep understanding of the life sciences landscape.

What's my experience in Digital Marketing?

Running a digital media platform like Labiotech.eu has many similarities to running a digital marketing agency, but with the added benefits of press-related perks.

What has been particularly rewarding about this experience is the opportunity to delve into various marketing skills and strategies to boost the growth of the business.

From SEO and lead generation to growth hacking and community management, we have tested many marketing techniques to disseminate our content effectively.

Furthermore, Labiotech.eu has collaborated with advertisers who, much like clients of a marketing agency, sought assistance with their online marketing efforts.

Over the course of a decade, I have been involved in the creation and execution of more than 500 campaigns, working with prestigious clients, including six of the top ten CRO/CDMO companies.

Where am I based, and where do I come from?

I am currently based in the Rhine-Ruhr region, in the north-western part of Germany. I'm conveniently situated in close proximity to big cities such as Cologne, DΓΌsseldorf, Dortmund, and Essen.

While Germany has become my adoptive country, I originally come from France.

I grew up in picturesque valleys of the Champagne region. After spending five years in Paris for my studies, I moved to Berlin in 2014 to start my entrepreneurship journey and lived there for nine years.

Even though I've been away for so long, I can't get rid of my French accent πŸ˜‹

If you happen to have a distaste for the "frogs' accent," it might serve as a slight deterrent.

What's my rate?

I am flexible and adaptable in working with you to determine the most appropriate options based on your budget.

We can explore different approaches, such as a project-based fee structure tied to specific deliverables, or a monthly retainer arrangement for projects that require ongoing work.

With my extensive network of professionals with varying levels of experience, I can ensure a balance of quality and output for your projects.

To give you an idea of what to expect, a 1,500-word article will cost between €1,200 and €1,800, depending on the experience of the writer I choose and the technical level of the article.

Contact me for a more detailed quote.

Do I work remotely?

I work 100% remotely and use asynchronous communication as much as possible.

This means that you don't have to worry about spending hours in meetings.

Since most of our work together will be based on written content, we'll use tools to easily share and collaborate on the documents we need to move forward.

Can I take more clients?

I have designed my workflow to allow me to work with multiple clients at the same time without sacrificing quality.

When faced with larger projects, I have a network of specialized experts whom I can collaborate with to ensure efficient execution.

This approach enables me to focus on campaign management while assigning the most suitable individuals to carry out specific tasks.
