They say launching a company is easier the second time around.
Well, I hope this is true because I'm about to embark on a new adventure.
It took me a while to come up with what I wanted to do next.
The main reason is that I believe there is still a lot to do with Labiotech, so I'm not leaving it behind and will continue to be its Editorial Director.
But my entrepreneurial spirit is eager to launch something new, so here we go!
Choosing my new project
When I was brainstorming about my new project, I knew certain criteria needed to be met:
- I wanted to build another online media
- I wanted it to be related to science in some way
- I wanted to run it solo.
Then, I assessed my skills:
- Running a business
- Creating awesome content
- Doing online marketing
- Communicating about science.
I have to be honest, the answer didn't come to me immediately.
But one day, during one of my productive walks, it came to me like a spark.
What if I created a media platform for science communicators and marketers?
After all, this is what I've been doing for the last 10 years, so I must know a thing or two about it!
And despite my search, I didn't find anything that resembles my vision of what a blog for science marketers should be.
The only thing left was to find a name...
Well, I'm not particularly good with brand names, so I went for the obvious one:
The Science Marketer.
What is The Science Marketer?
My goal is to become the go-to resource for actionable advice and tips in science marketing and communication.
The newsletter will be filled with practical tips and strategies that you can implement immediately to enhance your marketing and communication efforts.
And no generalist nonsense.

My articles will cater to a diverse range of professionals, including marketing managers, PR agencies, PhD students seeking employment in science communication, startup CEOs, science writers, and communication managers.
Whether you're an experienced marketer looking for fresh insights or a budding scientist transitioning into the world of communication, I've got you covered.
